Ephesians 5:17 AMP

[17] Therefore do not be foolish and thoughtless, but understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is. 

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 AMP

[16] Rejoice always and delight in your faith; [17] be unceasing and persistent in prayer; [18] in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 

Do not be foolish or thoughtless. Firmly understand and grasp what God's will is for you. I believe that RPT is the foundation or the starting point for understanding and knowing what His will is for our lives on a personal level. RPT: rejoice, pray and thanks.

In other words, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. It doesn't say rejoice sometimes or when you “feel” like it, it says ALWAYS. No matter what, rejoice and delight in your faith. The faith of “knowing” that God has always got your back. It says your prayers should never cease and be continuous. Which means we should never stop praying. We are to be prayer terminators: we never quit and we never stop. We should be relentless with prayer. Furthermore, NO MATTER your circumstances, be thankful. Regardless of your surroundings you should give Him thanks.

Once you do those 3 things: repeat, repeat, repeat…..

This is the lifestyle of us as believers in Christ. By living this lifestyle we will come to know what God's will for us is in Christ. 

Rejoice, Pray, give Thanks.

Repeat.
