Hope and a Future, Prov. 23:17ESV
Proverbs 23:17-18 ESV [17] Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day. [18] Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Indeed, let not your heart envy sinners. Let not your heart envy those who choose not to do as the Lord asks. Let not your heart envy those who choose not to fear the Lord or walk in His ways. Those of us who do “fear the Lord” should not stop doing so. The fear of the Lord is the beginning wisdom and those who do not are not wise. Do not think that your life would be better if you quit following the Lord or choose not to walk in His ways. To follow the ways of the world is folly. Your future is in the Lord not the world or the things in it.
