Proverbs 19:3 NLT [3] People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord. Say less Proverbs! You ain’t never lied! I love the NLT version of this scripture because it is so direct. It calls us out on making bad decisions especially when we knew we were making decisions. We can be right in the middle of making a bad decision and know it’s wrong but still do it. That’s human nature for you. It’s the battle of the flesh . However, we have the nerve to turn around and blame the one entity that had been totally shouting at you via the Holy Spirit not to make whatever horrible decision you just made. But YOU chose to ignore His warning. Furthermore, you probably asked for His wisdom first and got impatient because He hadn’t answered yet so you went and did things on your own.
