Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near . Phil. 4:5NIV Ask yourself this morning:  am I gentle?  Or do I show or exemplify gentleness?  The word says let your gentleness be evident to all.  Not just who you want to show gentleness to, but to all.  Not only in private, this is a public situation.  When all see your gentleness then the Lord is near, denoting that Christ was gentle, too.  If Christ truly lives in you, then you will show gentleness to all.  Isn’t our goal to show others the Lord?  Isn’t it our goal to bring everyone to Christ?  If you draw close to God then He will come close to you ( James 4:8a ).  We can’t get people close to God if we don’t bring them “near” to God and the way we do that is:  gentleness.  The definition of gentleness: the quality of being calm, kind, tender, and free from harshness, violence, or severe force.  This is how we are to treat others if we want the Lord to b...
