Jeremy Camp: Father

Lyrics/Chorus:

Even when I'm lost, and I don't feel found
When humans are human and they let me down

You're still my Father

I was born broken so You can make me whole
I'll bring my dirt and let You
Wash over me like water (oh-oh-oh-oh)
I was born to need You, to wipe the tears I cry
Yes, You made me a child, so You could be my Father
I'm Your child, and You're my Father (oh-oh-oh-oh)

This is an amazing song by Jeremy Camp!  It is so true!  Especially the part of the verse I have above:  When humans are human and they let me down.  Essentially, Psalm 146 sums up this song.  We cannot put our trust in humans.  We can only put our trust in our Father, who never fails us.  When we feel lost, we trust Him.  When we are broken, only He can fix us.  Only He can wash us clean and make us whole again, because He is our Father.  Thus the reason, His son, Jesus, started His prayer with:  Our Father (Matt. 6:9-13).

Father, reminds us daily how blessed and thankful we should be that you would call us Your children and that we can call You, our Father.  And, that we can call on you to save us at any and all times.  Teach us to learn to rely on You more and more.  We ask You in Jesus’ name, Amen!
