The Fantastic Four: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit & You! (Part 2)
Today we're continuing our mini series on the Fantastic Four: The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit & You! Last week Monday we covered the first to members of the Fantastic Four. Today let's look at the other two and how they support this supergroup!
3. Reed Richards-can stretch his body into so many different forms and directions; freedom of movement
Reed's power represents freedom in Christ; freedom in Christ to move, learn, act and do, etc. The freedom to struggle with life.
Galatians 5:1a, It is for freedom that Christ has set us free
Romans 6:22, But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
4. The Thing-represents strength
Thing represents strength in Christ (Philippians 4:13)
When I am weak He is strong, He is where my help comes from. See Psalm 121:1-8
Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Our strength is found in our weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9, But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
1 Corinthians 1:25, For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
