Crying out to only You, Ps. 119:147-48NIV
Ps. 119:147-48 NIV, I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in Your Word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. (2 Cor. 1:20, Is. 55:11, our hope is in Jesus, John 1:1;14)
This is me everyday. Everyday I cry out to Him. Some of those days I literally cry to Him because He is the only one who will listen. He is the only one who really cares for me (Ps. 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30). No one on this earth will ever love you like He does (Stryper: Love You Like I Do; go listen to it). And people wonder why I'm still waking up at 5 or 6am on my days off: I'm crying out to and spending time with the only one who loves me more than my wife and family. The only one where my help comes from (Ps. 121). I won't make it without Him. You can't make it without Him. You may think you can, but you won't.
Are you meditating on His promises? Not the promises of man. Not the promises of your side piece or your bank account; but the promises of God. This world can never be trusted (John 2:24-25). Get your butt up early or stay up late and cry to the one who truly cares. Put your hope in truth, love, grace, mercy and compassion. Reach out to the God of hope and the Lord of Peace. He shall never leave you nor forsake you. Ever.
