Create in me a clean heart daily, Ps. 51:10amp

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.  Ps. 51:10amp

Just a snippet of David's prayer after his situation with Bathsheba was done and over.  Knowing God as well as he did he knew that the only one who could create in him a clean heart was God.  He knew that his wrongful actions grieved God because God loved him so much (as He does us), that He called him a man after His own heart.  David also knew that the only one who could correct his spirit was the Lord.  His spirit needed to be renewed and steadied again.  David needed a reset. A restart.  Only the Lord can give us that and no one else. 

Have your actions or your life choices grieved God's heart?  And, you need to make your spirit right?  This is your Romans 10:9-10 & 1 John 1:9 moment! Cry out to the Lord right now. He is the only way.  Furthermore, we can keep ourselves from these actions, if this is our prayer everyday.

Lord, we pray that you would daily create a clean heart within all of us. And renew a right and steadfast spirit in us all.

Amen.
