Psalms 34:18 AMP

[18] The Lord is near to the heartbroken And He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin).

If this is you, then know this: He is with you. He will save you. We learn from David in Ps. 51:17, the only sacrifice acceptable to God, the thing He does not despise is a broken and contrite heart. A heart that is broken with sorrow for sin. A heart that sincerely will turn away from sin. If your heart is broken in this manner, He hears you. He hears your cry and He shall answer your prayers. He will rescue you from whatever storm you are in. He hears and sees your heart.
