Rebuke anxiety: He answers prayers, Phil. 4:6
Philippians 4:6 AMP
[6] Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
Yours truly has been under a lot of stress recently. Dealing with life issues, which has caused anxiety. (In the last 2 years of consistent therapy I've discovered that I deal with it more than I thought.) Being two years sober as of April, dealing with life issues now causes that anxiety because I'm now forced to face life properly not only with the correct tools from therapy but with the One who gave me the strength to become sober: Jesus. My favorite phrase is, therapy, gym and Jesus. Within the last week though, I've dealt with some more of the horizontal consequences of past decisions made either under the influence or from being out of His perfect will at one time; or both.
Yesterday I finally came back to one of my favorite scriptures: Philippians 4:6. It speaks to everything I'm feeling or dealing with currently and it may do the same for you in your current situation.
God had to remind and reassure me through His Word, to not be anxious or to worry about my past or my current situation. In every situation and circumstance I need to seek Him. I need to look to Him even in the midst of a storm of my own creation, He is still there, because He never forsakes us and is always faithful to us (Heb. 13:5 & 2 Tim. 2:13). I am to continue to pray and continue to thank Him. I am to make my requests specifically known to Him. I am to continue to petition Him for help in any and all circumstances. Regardless of what is going on around me I should never be anxious or worry because He will answer my prayers.
Know this today: He will answer your prayers.
