Ugh...Religious People, Galatians 5:12amp

 I wish that those who are troubling you [by teaching that circumcision is necessary for salvation] would even [go all the way and] castrate themselves!

Galatians 5:12amp

After a long break, it is time to continue where we left off in Galatians 5.  We’re looking at Galatians 5:12 today.  

Have you ever been extremely frustrated with someone?  Frustrated because you can only explain or express something so many times and they’re still not getting it?  I believe this verse describes that.  I believe that those that were trying to lead the Galatians away from the truth, from freedom, were frustrating Paul.  

In other words, if those that believe that circumcision is so important for salvation, and it's not, then they should just go ahead and just castrate themselves.  If you believe that so strongly then just go all the way and get rid of everything and see if that frees you.  It is the same with all of the false doctrine swirling around you everyday and every year you’re here on this planet.  You are already free because Christ’s death on the cross, His ultimate sacrifice for your sins has made you free.  Not all of that outward religious crap that the world tries to sell you on the daily.  Not only is salvation a daily activity but it is something that happens inside of you.  Ignore the noise.  Focus on Jesus. Stay the course. You are already free.
