Walk in the new man, 2 Cor. 5:17amp

Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].  2 Cor. 5:17amp

TobyMac Speak Life:  Quit letting who you were, talk you out of who you are becoming. 

That part, right there.  Don’t let your past be a roadblock to your future.  Toby Mac’s quote reminded me of 2 Corinthians 5:17, specifically the second part of that verse.  

“The old things (the previous moral and spiritual condition) have passed away.  Behold, new things have come (because spiritual awakening brings a new life).” Your old moral compass is dead.  Your old way of being “spiritual” has died.  Everything that was you is dead and gone.  Jesus is now in your life and inside your being.  You now have a new life.  Walk in it! Christ has destroyed your old self and you are now a new person.  You are no longer the same.  Don’t let anyone tell you any different.  Do not listen to the world and its lies.  Don’t listen to the lies of your supposed “close” friends.  Don’t listen to the lies of your family members.  Christ has saved you! As Naruto said “Believe it!”.  

You are no longer the same.  Remember 1 John 1:9, If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. And Psalms 103:12, As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Walk in your newness!  Walk in your new person! The old man is dead! The old man doesn’t exist anymore! Do not let the old man dictate who or what the new man is supposed to be.  You need to be who Christ has now called you to be! You are saved, holy and righteous.  You are the head and not the tail! You are forgiven and free! Free from sin! You are a royal priesthood and a holy nation! You are the bride of Christ and He loves you with an unconditional love; and He will never leave you nor forsake you! The God of the entire universe lives inside of you and with His strength there is nothing, nothing, you can not do! Know this, believe this and walk in this! Give Him some praise!
