Comfort & Counsel, Ps. 23:4amp

Psalms 23:4 AMP

[4] ¶Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.

Perfect love removes all fear. (1 John 4:18) We will fear no evil because He is with us at all times.

Holy Spirit: comforts and consoles us. 

John 14:26 AMP

[26] But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. [Matt 5:7, 13, 24, 25; Luke 24:49; John 14:16; Acts 1:4] 

John 15:26 AMP

[26]  “But when the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of Truth who comes from the Father, He will testify and bear witness about Me. 

John 16:7 AMP

[7] But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener and Standby.

“Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.”

All of those words describe what He does for us everyday.  He is our Helper! He Comforts us during every trial and tribulation! He Advocates for us in all circumstances! He Intercedes in every situation in our lives! He gives Counsel to us each and every day! He gives us Strength for all things in all situations! And, He definitely Stands By us but He is also definitely standing by ready to intercede, advocate, comfort, help, counsel and give strength at a moment's notice.
