Seclusion, Mark 1:35amp

[35] Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there. 

Secluded definition:

(of a place) not seen or visited by many people; sheltered and private

First, He got up “early” and it was still “dark”.  I’m thinking it's 4am.  Next, He left the house.  The last two things and the most important:  seclusion and prayer.  Again, Jesus, if you haven’t noticed, has set the example for us, for an effective prayer life.  A consistent prayer life.  He prayed daily and often.  But, here’s the thing:  seclusion.  He went to a sheltered and private place.  He found a place away from DISTRACTIONS.  He got away from people and things that would interrupt the most important part of His day:  PRAYER.  The most important part of following Jesus is talking to Jesus.  How else are you going to know how to live this life unless you talk to Him.
