Show Me What To Do, Ps. 143:10CEV

Psalms 143:10 CEV

[10] You are my God. Show me what you want me to do, and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path.

This is what I love about the Psalms, they are plain and simple.  Direct and to the point.  How do you not get this:  You are my God.  He is your God.  Furthermore, “show me what you want me to do”. God show me what you want me to do.  Show us what you want us to do.  All you have to do is ask and He will answer.  He will show you the way and His ways.  Who better to show you how to follow God than God.  This is a personal relationship with Him.  

“Let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path”.  God’s Spirit is gentle with us.  It is not harsh or overbearing.  It does not infringe upon our freewill.  His Spirit is kind, calm and peaceful.  His Spirit is loving and wise.  Only His Spirit can lead us in the right path, not the world.  Don’t ever expect or allow the world to lead you because it only leads to disaster.  And, the world will never be gentle with you.  The spirits of this world will chew you up and spit you out.  They will continue to do so as long as you let them.  But our God is a gentle God who will show you what to do and will lead you in the right path in this world. He is your God.
