[14] And no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 

We should never expect the horns, tail and the pitch fork.  The advisary never shows up like that.  You think we would know it by now and yet sometimes we still fall for the obvious.  It may not be the classic disguise but for some reason we may fall for the most asinine deceptions.  We need to stay vigilant and alert. We need to be more diligent about our praying and reading of the Word. We need to stay ready.  We need to remember that our enemy is always switching up moves and plans. We should be doing the same so as to catch whatever new thing he decides to throw at us or whatever old thing in a new costume he decides to send our way. Be ready and be able to recognize his deception. Stay vigilant.
