The Prince of Life, Acts 3:15AMP
Acts 3:15 AMP
[15] But you killed the Prince (Author, Originator, Source) of life, whom God raised [bodily] from the dead. To this [fact] we are witnesses [for we have seen the risen Christ].
What is so awesome is this scripture: As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17NIV
I lead with that one this morning as to give props to my brother Luis for mentioning the above scripture in one of his posts. This is why it is important for us as men to get together on the regular. He and I meeting put me in a place where we’re connected online too, making it possible for me to catch that post. Proverbs 27:17 gentlemen.
Therefore, as we look at Acts 3:15, yes what stands out to me as well is the phrase “the Prince (Author, Originator, Source) of life”. Say that again. Jesus is the Prince of Life. This is something I have missed whenever I’ve read this scripture and I’ve read it many, many times. This is another reason why you never stop reading your Bible. Think about that. The Prince of Life lives inside of you!
Bruh…….
John 10:10, The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
He came that you “may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)”. I think the only one who could give that to you would be the Prince of Life.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35NIV Let me see, if He is the Prince of Life, and He tells us that He is the bread of life; and if I come to Him I’ll never be hungry or thirsty. Then don’t you think it would be wise that if the Prince of Life tells us that, we need to sit at His table immediately and daily for a seven course meal?!
It’s time for us to sit down and rest because His yoke is easy and His burden is light! Sit down at His table. Eat His bread. Drink His water. You will never hunger. You will never thirst because He is the Prince of Life.
Woohoo! Amen my friend!
