[38] Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

Yes! This is so true and our God always makes good on His promises! I saw this happen to me this week last Tuesday! 

Key point: “For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

We would do well to remember this.  It's very plain and simple. However much good you do to others, that amount shall be brought back to you. So, um, if you're doing very little “good” to others, it may be poured into your lap but it ain't gonna be running over. You catch my drift? Be selfless. Serve others before yourself. I bet you see it running over then. Another question: what do you see returned to you if you're doing the opposite of good? Just a thought…
