How Quickly We Forget, Ps. 106:13AMP
Psalms 106:13 AMP
[13] ¶But they quickly forgot His works; They did not [patiently] wait for His counsel and purpose [to be revealed regarding them],
So many times this is us! We quickly forget His works. We quickly forget how He has never left our side. How He has always been right on time. How He has always provided. How He has never left us nor forsaken us. How He has answered every call we’ve made to Him.
And, let’s not forget the second half of this scripture. It’s just as important. In light of God everything He’s already done for us we have the nerve to be impatient with Him when He has been infinitely patient with us. We have the nerve to seek counsel elsewhere because He isn’t on our time table when we’re supposed to be on His. We can’t know our purpose if we aren’t dependent on Him. We can’t know our purpose if we do not wait on Him. We would do well to wait if we continually meditated on all of the good works He has done for us. If we practiced remembering what He has already done, then we’d have no problem patiently waiting for what we know He is going to do in the future. Remember what He has done and what He will do. Wait on His wisdom and His purpose for you will be revealed.
