Light my Way, Ps. 119:11amp

Psalms 119:105 AMP

[105] ¶Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. [Prov 6:23]

Every time I read this scripture it brings to mind this song by U2 called, Ultra Violet (Light my Way). Which is an amazing song. If you know anything about the album it's from, Achtung Baby, it deals with the concept of the female aspect of God, i.e. the Holy Spirit. Well, there are many themes within the album but that's the foundation for Achtung Baby.

Matthew 13:44 AMP

[44] “The kingdom of heaven is like a [very precious] treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again; then in his joy he goes and sells all he has and buys that field [securing the treasure for himself].

Yes, we ask, want and need the Word to light our way everyday. We need the Holy Spirit to interact and intercede with and for us daily. This happens through the reading and applying of His Word in our lives and the lives of others.  

Key point of the second verse: You bury your treasure, Where it can't be found. The kingdom of Heaven is at hand because it lives inside of you! Ps. 119:11, let me hide your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you (I'm paraphrasing). Jesus is the Word, the Word is Jesus (John 1:1, 2 & 14); He lives where: in our hearts. Jesus brought what to earth: the kingdom of Heaven.

I guess it's the price of love

I know it's not cheap

Jesus paid the price for you. He paid the atonement for sins for you. He paid the price for you to get into the kingdom and for the kingdom to be in you. He paid the ultimate price for you to be free. He is the ONLY reason why grace and mercy abounds for all of us. He is the lamp to our feet, as we walk through the darkness of this world.

Jesus...light our way...
