John 13:14 AMP

[14] So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet as well. 

Jesus’ examples of how we are to treat each other to me were and are so simple.  It’s not hard to understand what you are to do as a believer.  It’s not hard to know how to treat others, especially if they are non-believers.  He is so direct in just this one passage.  If He, the Lord, just washed your feet, then how do you think you are supposed to treat others?  Think about that long and hard.  The Lord, the creator of the Universe, washed feet.  The one who created your feet, who created you, has washed your feet.  If He has done it then why can’t you?! Ask yourself that question this morning! Are you serving others? I repeat:  ask yourself that question this morning.  Don’t call yourself a believer if you are not serving others.  Again, Jesus set the example for you on how you are to treat others.  If you’re supposed to represent Him while you are here on earth then you are supposed to be serving others and not yourself.  The reason why people won’t come to church is a bad representation of the one who established it.  If people won’t come to church it is our fault as believers for not being the representation of Christ that He asked us to be.  Washing feet is the example of a servant.  Washing feet represents someone who is there to serve.  Are you serving others?
