Get Your Word On, Ps. 37:31amp
Devo 9/12/25…
Psalms 37:31 AMP
[31] The law of his God is in his heart; Not one of his steps will slip.
The ways of God are in their hearts and they won’t swerve from the paths of steadfast righteousness. Psalm 37:31 TPT
They have made God’s law their own, so they will never slip from his path. Ps. 37:31 NLT
Are you starting to see a pattern? Yeah, me too. God’s law in your heart, His ways in your heart, His word in your heart will keep you from slipping. As always, David is very direct and to the point. Law in heart equals non-slip shoes. That’s the best way I can put it at the moment. Those of you who have ever worked in a restaurant know what I’m talking about. The NLT says, “they will never slip from His path”. As you’re walking with Him, His word shall keep you from tripping. The TPT says, “they won’t swerve from the paths of steadfast righteousness”. As your friends are getting their “swerve on” you best be getting your “word on” or should I say in your heart so that you are not swerving. Swerve: To turn aside abruptly from a straight line or course, or to cause something to do so. God’s path is straight not crooked, therefore we should not be swerving, if we are, then we are not following His path because His path is “steadfast”. His word does not cause us to go “off course”. Only following the world’s crooked path will cause you to do so. Get your word on, not your swerve on.
