Don't Forfeit the Gift, Jonah 2:8niv

Jonah 2:8 NIV Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. 

(Ps 119:37)

Turn away from the things of this world. Those things are idols because you are putting them before God. Why forfeit a free gift?! Especially a gift that allows you the freedom to be free. Yes the cliche is true: let go and let God. Focus on and follow Him. Let go of the things in this world. This world can only cause you a hurricane of horizontal consequences. When the fullness of God's grace can be yours, why would you mess that up? He is the "living source of mercy and loving kindness". There's nothing on earth worth losing that for. Why would you separate yourself from the true source of grace and mercy? The world is not your oyster, it is a shackle with a ball and chain. Turn away from it, turn to God and free yourself. Walk in the fullness of His grace.
