For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.
Whatever is in your heart determines what you say. Yes, I'm talking to you. All of you, believers and non believers. What comes out of your mouth daily reflects what's in your heart and you know this to be true.
Think about the things you said yesterday or the day before or this morning for that matter. Was it encouraging or uplifting? Did it bless anyone? Was it supportive and positive? Did you help someone with your words or did you tear them down?
We are to speak in love to one another. Speak joy to others. Speak hope to others. Those of you speaking negatively on a daily basis just shows that your heart holds and carries negativity. If you can only gossip and put others down, what does that say about your heart? It's time for you to look inside at what controls your words.
You may be pretty or handsome on the outside but your words betray you and they reveal your hardened heart.
The only way to speak life into others is to put Christ in your heart.
