Always Walk in Love, 2 John 1:6amp

2 John 1:6 AMP

[6] And this is love: that we walk in accordance with His commandments and are guided continually by His precepts. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should [always] walk in love.

{Keyword:  always.  In other words:  daily.} 

Walking in love means we must walk in His ways.  Walking in love means we should be guided by His precepts everyday.  The definition of precept:  a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought. So, we should be walking in His commands and those commands should be regulating our behaviors or thoughts.  Are your thoughts filled with His ways?  Are His ways your ways?  Do you have the mind of Christ?  If God is love, then you are walking in Him and therefore you should be moving and thinking as He would.  The word says we should know them by their fruits (Matt. 7:16).   You will know if someone loves Christ because they will move, think and behave like Christ.  How do you successfully walk in love then?  

To walk in love you must leave the world behind…

Leave your nets, take up your cross and follow Him.  Sell all your possessions, take up your cross, and follow Him.  The world is not your friend and it does not and cannot love you as Jesus does.

It’s a spiritual conundrum and catch 22.  The only baggage you can bring is all that you can’t leave behind but you have to in order to walk on.  Love is not an easy thing but you must leave everything behind in order to walk on.
