What Drives the World, Prov. 19:4NLT
[4] Wealth makes many “friends”; poverty drives them all away.
Proverbs always comes correct. In this world people will only love you for your money if you happen to have a lot of it. They only want you for your money. Your money is their motivator. Nothing more, nothing less. The moment you lose your money those people will be gone. But also, the moment you choose not to share your wealth with them they'll be gone. Trust and believe, once you stop showering them with gifts, they'll be gone. If the world can't capitalize on your good fortune then what good are you? You become worthless to the world once you lose your monetary worth. They only care about what you can do for them, not what you can do for others. Mo money, mo problems. It is the “root” of all evil. All of the bones of contention spring from it. Never let wealth be the foundation of any of your relationships because it is bound to fail. Make Christ the foundation of all your relationships and you are always bound to succeed. Make Christ the foundation because He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother and He will never leave you not forsake you. (Prov. 18:24, Heb. 13:5 & Matt. 19:16-30)
