Stop and Get some Wisdom, Prov. 19:2NLT

Proverbs 19:2 NLT

[2] Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.

Excellent point and very true. Moving with mad excitement without direction can cause failure.  It's like driving blind. Be enthusiastic, be gung ho, but have a plan. Know what you want to do, how to do it and when to do it. When making a move in the right direction do so quietly and efficiently. No need to rush.

Haste does make mistakes.  Slow down and pay attention.  Slow down to make correct decisions. Most of us are always in a hurry. Most of us are always too busy. Don't be so busy that you forget to stop and gain wisdom before entering into situations or plans. There's nothing wrong with being zealous. There's nothing wrong with being ambitious or confident.  There's nothing wrong with striving to get things done. However there comes a point when we must stop. We must pause. We must study all of the situations around us. We can't fully know and understand them without wisdom from God. And we can't get that wisdom unless we get to a place where we become still and know He is God. Know that He is God of your life.
