Everyone is Welcome, Romans 10:13ESV
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13ESV
No one is special. We’re all in the same boat. We all have sinned and have fallen short (Rom. 3:23). No one is perfect. We are all sheep. Some have gone astray and some have stayed home (Luke 15). And those that have stayed home are indifferent and disobedient. All of us have the opportunity to be saved. Everyone has the opportunity to have a personal relationship with the Lord. This is the only time we can say “it’s personal” and it really is. There is no relationship like the relationship you will have or can have with the Lord. And the coolest thing about it is that everyone can have this relationship because everyone who calls on His name can be saved (Romans 10:9-10). There isn’t a “member’s only” club because everyone is invited. Everyone is invited to the table. Stop looking down at the woman who comes to church in the short dress or the mini skirt. It’s possible it may be all she has to wear to church. Stop looking down at the man who may still smell like alcohol from the night before or three nights before. At least he made it there. Stop looking down your nose at the person who comes in dressed in all black and tatted up. You don’t know their testimony and their testimony is why they’re standing next to you on Sunday morning. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you’ve been saved from. Our common denominator is that God saved all of us from ourselves. For “everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved”.
