Always Blessed, Ps. 121:7-8ESV

Psalm 121:7-8 ESV

[7] The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. [8] The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Whenever we hear people pray “the Lord bless your coming in and your going out”  they are paraphrasing this passage of scripture.  This is such a powerful scripture.  The psalmist knew that the Lord was with him wherever he went.  Whatever he set out to do he knew with certainty that the Lord would be with him.  He knew without fail that the Lord would keep him from any and all dangers in the world.   And, he knew that the Lord would keep this promise forevermore.  This promise would never end.  Are you able to stand on this passage, too?  Do you know without fail that the Lord is the one that is keeping you right now in this very moment?  He is the one that is protecting you from the horrible things of this world.  Every room that you enter, every building that you enter, anywhere your drive to or walk to the Lord is keeping you.  His hand is upon you wherever you go.  Remember that you are blessed wherever you are and you are a blessing to those you encounter.  The Lord will be with you wherever you are.  

Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.  Deut. 28:6ESV

Father, today help us to remember that whatever spaces we enter or we are active in, You are with us.  That Your Spirit that lives within us is present in any and all situations that we might find ourselves in.  We are blessed always and that’s because we take you with us no matter where we go.  Amen.
