Desire of Your Heart, Ps. 20:4 & Ps. 37:4NIV

Psalms 20:4 AMP

[4] ¶May He grant you your heart’s desire And fulfill all your plans.

Take delight in the Lord,

    and he will give you the desires of your heart.  Psalms 37:4NIV

The desires of your heart.  Have you ever been direct with the Lord and said what your heart’s desire is?  Yes, we know in scripture it says that He searches and knows the heart but remember we’re in a relationship with Him.   He still wants to hear it.  Just like your spouse still wants to hear that you love them even though they know it.  This is what prayer is for.  To communicate with and to God what the desires of your heart may be.  Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Delight yourself in Him and He will fulfill all of your plans.  Obviously the desires of our hearts are important.  It’s in His word more than once, so your heart's desire is important to Him.  It says, “may He grant you” in Psalms 20:4.  In Psalms 37:4 it says, “He will give you”. He wants to do this.  This is non-negotiable. This is a promise from the Lord.  We are the church.  We are His bride.  Just as we want and wish to fulfill the needs of our spouse, so does He.  Allow the Lord to bless you in this area.  Take delight in Him. He will grant your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.
