He suffers with us.... Lamentations 3:22-23 AMP

It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed,

Because His [tender] compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;

Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.  Lam. 3:22-23 AMP

The Lord is faithful to us even when we are not to Him.

Again, here is the word compassion.  It is the key to everything.  It says, "His compassions never fail" and "They are new every morning".  Compassion is the sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others, according to the Oxford Dictionary.  It literally means "to suffer together" (Col. 3:12-13, Matt. 9:36 & Luke 15:20).

HIs suffering with us never fails and it is new every morning.  That is how much Jesus loves you.  He suffers with us throughout our daily trials and tribulations.  That is why we are not consumed.  He is selflessness (Phil. 2:3-5), He suffers with us and He comforts us (2 Cor. 1:3-4) because He understands what we endure on this earth (Heb. 4:15).  He knows us fully and completely.  Only God could know all of the dirt you do and all of your dark places but still love you.  Still love you enough to suffer with you and then die on the cross for you.  That is compassion. Think about that today.
