Approach with confidence... Heb. 4:16 AMP

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].  Hebrews 4:16 AMP

Many things stand out in this scripture.  First, the AMP version tells us "with privilege".  We are approaching with privilege.  We are privileged to stand before the throne of grace.  This is the only place and time where privilege means something.  I said what I said.

Second, because we are privileged to do so, we do so confidently and without fear.  Third, here we receive what?  Mercy.  Thank you Lord for your mercy.  We get it because of our failures.  We get grace AND mercy because of our failures.  We get it when we're in need of it just at the right moment.  God is never late nor is He early, He's always right on time. (Rez Band: Your Love was right on time!)

So, be confident when you go to God in need.  His grace and mercy is there so you can.  Remember, it is only because of His grace and mercy that you are privileged to do so.  It is because of His unending grace and mercy that you are blessed in spite of your failures.  Walk with confidence and without fear; and receive.
