Are you walking in love? Eph. 5:2amp
and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
Ephesians 5:2 AMP
Paul spells it out as always pretty plain and simple: "walk continually in love". Not when you want to or choose to or half way but always walk in love like who? Like Jesus loved YOU and gave HIMSELF up for YOU as an offering; and sacrifice to God. He gave Himself up as the ultimate sacrifice for all of our sins.
The AMP version goes into detail with valuing one another, practicing empathy and compassion. There's that word again! We are to unselfishly seek the best for others. Are you unselfishly seeking the best for others? Are you practicing empathy? Are you practicing compassion? Ask yourself these questions today. These are the things Christ did while on this earth and would do the same if here right now (He valued people). If you consider yourself a follower of the Way then you must do the same.
