You Are Our Only Hope, Psalm 43:5amp

Psalms 43:5 AMP

[5] ¶Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my [sad] countenance and my God.

Great questions there from David! Why are you in despair?  Why are you restless and disturbed?  Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning!  The Psalm tells us to hope in God.  Not freak out, stress or worry.  Put hope in the only one who can come through every time.  Hope in the God of Hope:  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, Romans 15:13 NIV.  He is not only the God of grace, mercy and love but hope! Who better than to put your hope in than the one who is hope.  Romans says, that once you do you will be filled with “all” joy and peace as you “trust” in Him! It says you will “overflow” with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Yes, according to our verse today you will praise Him again because you will be overflowing with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit! Our Psalm tells us to “wait expectantly for Him”.  Which means we should expect our God to come through.  We should expect our God to fill us overflowing with hope, peace and joy.  We should never not expect it to happen.  Our God has never lost a battle and He has never failed us.  He is the God of Hope!
