Can You See and Hear? Isaiah 42:20AMP

Isaiah 42:20 AMP

[20] You have seen many things, but you do not observe them; Your ears are open, but no one hears.

In the song I Threw a Brick Through a Window by U2 are the lyrics:  No one, No one is blinder, than he, who will not see.  

Many of you see things but are still blind to what’s in front of you. And, many of you hear only what you wish to hear, except the true voice of the Lord.  And, many of you are doing a whole lot of shouting but ain’t saying nothing. Wake up dead man.  If you are not alive in Christ then you are the walking dead.  Christ has come to give us life and life more abundantly.  

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].  John 10:10AMP 

The world and the enemy will steal from you.  They will destroy your life if you let them, which is what you do when you allow the world to dictate how you live instead of listening to the wisdom of Christ.  Open your ears and listen to the words of Christ.  Listen to understand, not just to hear.  Not to respond but to receive.  To receive grace, mercy, peace and hope that only He can give. 

Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. 14 But whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life.”  John 4:13-14AMP

May God soften your hearts so that you will have the eyes to see and ears to hear. (Matthew 13:9-43)  Some of you have become so hard that the seeds can’t be sown into you.  Some are so hard that they can’t bear fruit.  May the Holy Spirit open your hearts and minds.  I pray your eyes are opened and the ringing of the Lord’s voice would be in your ears.  Wake up, dead man! The kingdom of God is at hand!
