His Compassion, Ps. 143:8AMP
[8] Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For I trust in You. Teach me the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Each morning that’s what we want to hear about and feel when we first wake: lovingkindness. In other words, His compassion. It is His compassion that has gotten us this far. It is His compassion that saved us. It was out of His compassion that we received forgiveness, grace and mercy. Never forget the compassion of our Lord (Luke 15:20). Therefore we should always trust in Him. There should never be a doubt about God’s loyalty or faithfulness. Remember He is always faithful even when we are not. Teach us in the way we should walk because our souls belong to you Lord. I only want the Lord to teach me, not the world. We only want the Lord to teach our children, not the world. Reminder: we live in the world but we are not of it. We need the Lord’s teachings to get us through. The world will only teach you how to live here. The Lord teaches us how to live with Him.
Lord let us never forget your compassion. Let us never forget that your mercies are new every morning (Lam. 3:22-23). Teach us everyday to walk in your ways and to put our trust in you. In His name, Amen.
